This Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Oval Greenstone Ring is a striking example of 1970s Retro design, showcasing a deep nephrite greenstone in a distinctly organic, textural setting. It's a genuinely interesting piece of commercial New Zealand jewellery from the period, when local designers were embracing native materials in bold, sculptural mounts.

At the centre sits a large oval cabochon of nephrite greenstone, its smooth, polished surface catching the light in soft, glassy waves across its deep olive tone. The stone is framed by a bezel of small, irregular gold pegs standing upright around its edge, creating a sunburst or crown-like effect that adds real texture and dimension rather than a simple smooth border.
