How It Works
I
Bring your unwanted jewellery into one of our stores with any documentation you have. Previous valuations and receipts are not required but can be helpful and may assist in maximising the offer we can make you. Please review the below information (Important Information When Selling) before coming into one of our stores.

Our in store expert will submit detailed information about your jewellery to our Registered Second Hand Jewellery buyer. Make sure you also have valid photographic ID, for example a driver's licence or passport with you.

If we are interested in purchasing your jewellery then we will offer a favourable trade in price and a cash price where applicable so you can consider the right option for you. Prices are calculated on current rates and are valid for that day only.
In some circumstances we may need to refer your piece/s to our Head Office for further assessment before we can provide price options to you.

If you accept our trade in offer, we will set up your credit and you can shop in store immediately.
If you accept a cash purchase offer, we will transfer payment to you by bank transfer to your nominated bank account within 5 working days.
Important Information When Selling
You must be the legal owner of the jewellery. We are unable to purchase if the jewellery belongs to a friend or family member, or has been found.
You will need to present valid photo identification in order to complete the transaction.
You will need to provide a valid NZ bank account for payment to be transferred to.
Please be aware that we do not always make an offer to buy or trade based on a number of factors. In particular, costume jewellery and jewellery made by Michael Hill Jeweller will not be considered for purchase.
