Dating back to the 1920s, these Vintage Foilback Glass & Seed Pearl Earrings capture the delicate romanticism of the early Art Deco era, when foilback glass was a popular and elegant alternative to precious gemstones. The technique involved backing a piece of glass with a thin layer of foil, which reflects light back through the stone to create a luminous, almost gem-like glow — here rendered in a soft, watery blue-grey that shifts subtly with the light.

Each pear-shaped foilback glass drop is fully framed by a halo of tiny natural seed pearls, painstakingly set one by one around the outer edge in the period's signature style. A single seed pearl caps the top of each earring, connecting the drop to the earring hook and echoing the pearls below. The result is a design that feels intricate and jewel-like, despite its modest scale.

The drops are suspended from 9ct yellow gold hooks, offering secure, comfortable wear while letting the pale glass and pearls remain the visual focus. Delicate, wearable, and full of period charm, these earrings are a lovely example of 1920s craftsmanship — a small, glowing piece of vintage history for the ear.
