Dating back to the 1950s, this Deja Vu Platinum .83ct Sapphire & Diamond Ring is a striking example of post-war Deco-inspired design, carrying forward the geometric elegance of the Art Deco period while embracing the era's love of solid, substantial platinum construction. The ring's five-stone arrangement creates a graduated, symmetrical composition that was a signature look of the period's cocktail and dress rings.
At the centre sits a rich, deep blue oval sapphire, its saturated colour flanked on either side by two old cut diamonds, their soft, warm brilliance a hallmark of pre-modern diamond cutting. Two further oval sapphires anchor each end of the design, echoing the central stone and giving the ring a balanced, rhythmic quality across the finger. Altogether, the sapphires total .83ct, their cut and rich tone contrasting beautifully against the crisp white brilliance of the old cut diamonds between them.
The ring is crafted in solid platinum, its cool, dense lustre providing the ideal setting for the coloured stones, while fine hand engraving traces the shoulders and gallery, adding delicate texture and Deco-inspired linework throughout.
