From our 1899 collection, it centres on a 3.04ct rectangular step-cut emerald in a soft, light green — the classic emerald cut chosen specifically to let this particular stone's colour speak for themselves, uninterrupted by unnecessary facets.
Surrounding the emerald, an octagonal rectangular cluster of diamonds builds outward in a considered arrangement of baguette, taper and round brilliant cuts. The mix of shapes is what gives the Magritte design its distinctive geometry — the elongated baguettes and tapers running along the edges to define the octagonal outline, while round brilliants fill the corners with additional sparkle. The crisp lines and symmetric arrangement give the pendant a contemporary edge, while the clustered halo setting recalls the artistry of vintage design.
The pendant is finished with a fixed diamond-set bail, so the sparkle continues right up to the point where the pendant meets the chain — no plain metal interrupting the line of brilliance.
